‘Boulle’ style rectangular bureau plat, French workmanship, Napoleon III period.
Undulating frieze with three front-opening drawers, on four cabriole legs adorned with foliage, mouldings and sabot feet. Leather, bronze-edged writing surface. The piece is heavily embellished with mother of pearl and brass inlay ‘à la Berin’.
