Late 19th century, Louis XVI style secretaire, French workmanship. The piece carries a Kreiger stamp. Decorated with Japanese inspired lacquered plaque figure panels of European origin, outlined with gilt-bronze mouldings set into rosewood and kingwood. The drop down front reveals a limewood interior with six drawers and two compartments. The secretaire has a breche marble top.
